Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how Hapus will approach course cancellations and refund decisions when production payments are enabled.

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Current beta status

Production payments are not currently enabled. No payment should be requested outside a Hapus checkout flow. Exact eligibility windows, consumption thresholds and provider timelines will be shown clearly before the first production transaction and will form part of the applicable checkout record.

What will govern a purchase

The checkout record will identify the course, institute, version, access period, total price, applicable taxes and the refund terms presented before payment. Those historical terms will remain available for the order and will not be silently replaced by later listing changes. Mandatory consumer rights always prevail over a conflicting platform term.

Circumstances generally eligible for review

  • Duplicate or clearly erroneous successful charges.
  • Payment captured but no entitlement created within the stated fulfilment period.
  • A course cancelled by the institute or Hapus before meaningful delivery.
  • Material mismatch between the purchased course description and what is delivered.
  • Loss of access caused by a platform or institute failure that is not reasonably restored.
  • Another circumstance where applicable law requires a refund or remedy.

Circumstances generally not eligible

  • A change of mind after substantial course consumption where the checkout terms lawfully limit cancellation.
  • Failure to participate, complete lessons or pass an assessment when the service remained available as described.
  • Loss of access caused by account sharing, fraud, abuse or a lawful enforcement action.
  • Requests based solely on an employment, income or academic outcome that was never expressly guaranteed.

How to request a review

Use Hapus Support from the account connected to the order and provide the order reference and a concise reason. Do not send card numbers, passwords or one-time codes. Hapus may coordinate with the institute and payment provider while keeping the final payment event and entitlement remedy as separate auditable actions.

Decision and timing

Hapus will acknowledge the request through an available channel, assess the checkout terms, delivery record and applicable law, and communicate the result. An approved refund will be sent through the original payment method where practicable. Bank or provider settlement times are outside Hapus’s direct control and will be stated accurately when the provider is integrated.

Institute cancellation and learner access

Removing a public listing does not automatically erase existing learner rights. Hapus will separately assess whether the course can continue, whether alternative delivery is acceptable, or whether a refund or another remedy is required.
