1. Agreement and eligibility
By accessing or using Hapus, you agree to these Terms and the policies linked from them. If you use Hapus for an institute or organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to act for that organisation. You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement. A parent or lawful guardian must supervise use where applicable law requires it.
2. Accounts and security
- Provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- Protect your sign-in credentials and do not share or sell access.
- Notify Hapus promptly if you reasonably suspect unauthorised access.
- One identity may have separate learner, institute and platform relationships; authority in one role does not grant authority in another.
3. Marketplace roles
Hapus provides the marketplace, access controls and learning infrastructure. Participating institutes create and deliver courses and remain responsible for their content, instructors, claims and learner commitments. Publication review checks marketplace requirements; it is not accreditation or a guarantee of educational, employment or income outcomes.
4. Course information and enrolment
The course page and checkout summary presented at enrolment form part of your transaction record. They may include the institute, course version, curriculum, language, price, taxes, access period and course-specific refund terms. Later listing changes do not silently rewrite that historical record.
5. Payments and refunds
Payments are not enabled in the current public beta. Before transactional launch, Hapus will identify the payment provider, applicable fees, invoice treatment and course-specific cancellation terms. Refunds, when enabled, will be governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy, the checkout disclosure and applicable law.
6. Learning access
An enrolment grants a limited, personal and non-transferable right to access the purchased course for the stated period. You may not resell access, bypass technical controls, scrape protected materials, or distribute course resources beyond permissions expressly supplied by the institute.
7. User content and reviews
You retain ownership of content you submit, such as reviews, notes shared with support or institute materials. You grant Hapus a limited licence to host, process and display that content only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service. Public reviews must reflect genuine experience and may be moderated for safety, privacy, illegality, manipulation or irrelevance. Private learning notes remain private unless you deliberately share them through a supported workflow.
8. Prohibited conduct
- Impersonating another person or misrepresenting authority, qualifications or accreditation.
- Uploading unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, sexually exploitative or privacy-invasive material.
- Manipulating reviews, credentials, assessments, payments or marketplace rankings.
- Attempting unauthorised access, introducing malware, disrupting the service or evading security controls.
- Using Hapus in a way that violates applicable law or another person’s rights.
9. Institute obligations
Institutes must maintain accurate ownership, instructor, curriculum, pricing and claims information; possess necessary rights and permissions; deliver published commitments; protect learner information; cooperate with support and lawful review; and avoid misleading outcome, accreditation or placement claims. Hapus may restrict drafts, submissions, listings, sales or payouts separately where risk or policy requires it.
10. Suspension and termination
Hapus may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect learners, institutes, the platform or the law. Permanent or high-impact actions should follow attributable review and any available appeal process. Existing learner obligations will be considered separately from action against a public listing or seller capability.
11. Service availability and disclaimers
The public beta may change, contain errors or experience interruptions. Hapus does not promise that every course will remain available or that participation will produce employment, admission, certification, income or another specific result. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, each party remains responsible for its own conduct. Nothing in these Terms limits or waives mandatory consumer protections or another right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Questions or disputes should first be raised through Hapus Support so they can be reviewed through the available support and appeal process.
13. Changes and contact
Material updates will be dated and, where required, notified through an appropriate channel. Questions, complaints and legal notices may be submitted through Hapus Support. Additional statutory contact details will be published when they become applicable to the services Hapus enables.
